Springfield, Illinois
This project involved a comprehensive remodel and expansion of a historical church structure, now serving as the esteemed state headquarters for a healthcare agency. The exterior design harmonizes with the original building and neighboring structures, ensuring architectural continuity. Inside, the workspace combines open-plan areas and private offices for flexibility, collaboration, and privacy. One of the interior design's main features is the extensive use of natural light, supplemented with borrowed light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The layout accommodates private offices, a print shop, computer stations, a break room, and several conference rooms. The building also features state-of-the-art teleconferencing capabilities for efficient digital communication. This project exemplifies the potential of architectural transformation, merging historical respect with modern functionality to create a dynamic, naturally lit workspace for a vital healthcare agency.
